On September 17, Stride’s rising-generation members spent an evening inside one of the Capital Region’s best-known family enterprises. Tom Hoffman, Jr., CEO of Hoffman Development Corporation, and Patrick Hoffman opened the doors of the company behind Hoffman Car Wash — 61 years in business and still family owned and operated — for a private tour that ran from the car wash headquarters to the manufacturing floor at InnovateIT.
The Rising Gen series exists for a simple reason: to give next-generation family members a close look at how other family businesses in our area actually run, and then time with peers to talk about what’s top of mind — working across generations, carrying a legacy forward, and pushing the business ahead.
